I'm based in Auckland, New Zealand and open to travel within the country.
Photography and videography has been a sporadic source of comfort for the last twenty years. My father handed me a cam corder one day and I felt like I could be a film maker. Along side school projects and home videos, I also learned how to use the film cameras that my parents grew up with. Then came the point and shoots and finally, my first DSLR before I left home for New Zealand. Once here, life took over and the phone became my lens through which I started capturing my world. Until my dog Browse came into my life.
Browse, invited me back into the world of photography three years ago and since then, I have spent countless hours learning how to improve my current skills and learn new ones. I take photos because my memory doesn't store moments and events very well. It forgets easily. For me, images are not just an aesthetic choice or a symptom of the digital age, but an important tool I use to document my life and recall moments beautiful and sad. Without them, it would be as if my life was tabula rasa.
Because of that, you can trust that I know the value of taking photos and making memories. Capturing and storing moments of connection, play, love, gratitude and longing.
