faq
I draw my inspiration & creativity from urban design, natural environments and editorial photoshoots.
I prefer to shoot in natural sunlight to bring out true colours that reflect the mood on the day. The environment is included, showcasing how your pet inhabits the space.
It is important for me that your pet be comfortable during the photoshoot, so if it takes a bit longer to get them settled in and become familiar with me and the location, that's totally ok.
I will only shoot during safe temperatures and within your pets' physical capacity. If your pet has fun during the photoshoot, it will show in the photos.
FAQ
This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?
Once your booking is confirmed, I'll ask a few questions about your pet so I can tailor the session to their personality. On the day, we'll meet at the chosen location and start with a gentle walk, giving them time to settle in and feel comfortable.
I let pets come to me in their own time and never force interactions. Often, I don't need to physically interact them at all, which helps nervous or shy pets feel relaxed.
If your pet has been for a walk beforehand, that's a bonus, but not a requirement.

Does my pet need to be off-lead? Do they need to stay still for long periods of time?
Your pet can stay on lead throughout the session, and I'll edit the lead out of your final images. I do recommend a collar, as harnesses won't be removed in editing.
There's no need for your pet to sit perfectly still. They're free to explore, play, and interact with you and their surroundings. The session is a relaxed mix of natural moments and gentle posing, all at your pet's pace.

Can you recommend any good locations?

I have a selection of beautiful locations around Auckland for you to choose from, depending on what suits you and your pet best.
The most important thing is choosing a place where your pet feels safe, relaxed, and free to be themselves.
If your dog prefers quiet spaces away from other dogs or busy areas, that's absolutely okay. I understand, as my own dog does too.
The right location makes all the difference, helping your pet feel comfortable so we can capture them at their happiest.

What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?
Light rain won't stop us- I’m happy to go ahead with the session if this happens.
However, if the weather is unsafe, such as heavy rain, severe weather warnings, or location closures, I'll be in touch to reschedule at no extra cost.
How long will it take to receive my images?
Your proof gallery will be ready within 2–3 weeks of your session. From there, you can view your images, select your favourites, purchase any additional photos, and download your final collection.
Bucket List Sessions: My pet is struggling to leave the house, can we still do a photoshoot?
Yes, I can come over to you and we can do the photoshoot inside your home and your backyard so that your pet is comfortable. Please note that a travel fee will apply for travel outside of Auckland.
